Starbucks Poster
promotional advertisementDescription
For this project we were tasked with creating a holiday promotional poster for the Starbucks community store in Jonesboro, Georgia, that highlighted a specific event or sale.
The holiday that I focused on was International Women’s Day and the concept that I came up with for this advertisement was to have a promotional sale on one or two beverages in the store, where a percentage of the profits made would be donated to a local women's homeless shelter, “House of Dawn”, to help get women off the streets and provide them an opportunity to get their lives back on track. This simple concept directly benefits the target demographic of women in poverty and supports low-income households in a fun and tasteful way.
The tone of this advertisement was geared towards showing support and empathy towards women who were struggling economically in the community. The message was to spread poverty awareness and provide aid to women in need throughout the local area. For this Starbucks promotion, I tried to maintain the aesthetic and style that Starbucks is known for, utilizing many of its marketing and design tactics while making sure to incorporate lighter pastel colors and the Georgia state flower for a more feminine look.
